On August 16, 2011 Kingdom Tower megastructure plans revealed and who is the architect behind this world's tallest building? Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill is the architect who designed the Kingdom Tower Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Kingdom Tower’s foundation was designed by UMile towerS company Langan and later on January 2012 work started on this highest tower and is assumed to be completed on 2017 taking 63 months that cost SR4.6 Billion equal to $1.200.000.000 USD. The contract has been signed by Saudi Binladin Group (SBG).
It will be located along the Red Sea of Jeddah providing an extra-ordinary elegant view and will be the first structure to reach the one-kilometer mark. Earlier the Kingdom Tower was planned to be 1.6-kilometre (1 mi) high however unluckily the geology of the area proved unsuitable for a tower of that height.
